The crew began loading the set into the theater yesterday. We ran the whole thing for the first time this afternoon, and on the break went downstairs to see how they were coming.
It looks deeper than I had imagined (which is a good thing). We’ve been in the tiny rehearsal so long, its going to feel fantastic to actually have the full dimensions to work with soon. The texturing of the back walls of the “club” looks pretty darn good.
You can see that from a distance, it actually looks like an old, crumbling wall (its all carved and treated out of styrofoam). You can also see the pipe that’s in so that lighting instruments can be positioned properly before they are suspended above the grid.
After the runthrough, the cast reassmbled for notes and works.
