Arts for All: Specially-Priced $5 tickets for Oregon Trail Card Holders

Posted by Kinsley Suer | 04 October 2011 | Comments (2)

Portland Center Stage is excited to be participating in Portland’s “Arts for All” discounted ticket program, and we look forward to welcoming Oregon Trail Card holder families to the theater! Arts for All is a new program that seeks to increase accessibility of the arts to Oregonians through a low-cost ticket option for recipients of Oregon Trail Card benefits.

Beginning the Monday before preview performances begin for every PCS production, individuals presenting Oregon Trail Cards may purchase tickets to that production for only $5 per ticket. Cardholders may purchase a maximum of two tickets per production.

Arts for All tickets must be purchased in person at the PCS Box Office, located at 128 NW Eleventh Avenue. The Box Office is open Monday-Friday beginning at 10 a.m. and on weekends beginning at noon. You must present your Oregon Trail Card at time of purchase.

Please note: Arts for All tickets must be purchased at least 30 minutes before the performance begins.

Anyone who receives food stamps (SNAP) and has the Oregon Trail Card is eligible to purchase $5 tickets; however, SNAP credit on the Oregon Trail Card cannot be used towards the price of the tickets. This discount is not valid with any other offer. Discounted tickets are subject to availability. There are no refunds or exchanges.

Hi Lisa,

Thank you so much for your interest. While Portland Center Stage does not currently offer a special discount for foster parents, we are committed to making the arts accessible to all; we’d love for anyone who has an interest in seeing our productions to be able to join us!

Ticket prices can vary dramatically from performance to performance.  I recommend calling or visiting the box office to inquire about the dates of our most budget-friendly performances. The box office can be reached at 503.445.3700.

We also offer the option of purchasing Rush tickets to all of our performances, pending availability. If a performance isn’t sold out, at a few minutes before curtain time tickets can be purchased for only $20 per ticket at the box office, cash only.

Another option for future productions would be to attend our “pay what you will” night, which is the Sunday evening (7:30 p.m.) performance of opening weekend for all of our Main Stage shows. There is a suggested donation of $10 and a minimum donation of $1.

We do hope you’ll be able to join us soon. Thanks again for your interest!

Do you offer any special for Foster Parents?  We do not need food stamps but a ticket at $50 is way out of our price range.  :(

Thanks,
Lisa Fugere
