Matthew Snyder ("Understudy Flick/Randy/Schwartz") surprises us with a yearning for brussel sprouts!
1. Why are you most looking forward to being in A Christmas Story?
I'm looking forward to making new friends and having fun on stage.
2. What is your favorite holiday? Why?
My favorite holiday is Christmas because I like to hang ornaments on the tree and sing Christmas songs. I enjoy getting presents and spending time with my family. Every year, I hope it snows because I like sledding.
3. What are your favorite holiday traditions?
One of my favorite Christmas traditions is when we drive around neighborhoods and look at the houses decorated with lights.
4. If you had it your way, what would be on the table for your family dinner?
I would have a big rotisserie chicken, brussel sprouts, steamed broccoli, caesar salad and chocolate desserts.
5. Do you and your family have any winter activities you enjoy?
We like to sled down our driveway or a nearby steep hill. Sometimes we sled on Mt. Hood.
6. Do you have any funny or particularly memorable holiday experiences with friends or family?
One Thanksgiving, my Grandma was slicing my Dad's favorite pecan pie. The knife slipped and caused a pecan to fly off the pie and hit my dad in his head.
7. What is your favorite holiday movie?
I love The Nightmare Before Christmas.
8. Tell us about a gift you just HAD to have for Christmas:
About two years ago, I wanted a Nintendo DSi so much. I talked about it all the time and put it on the top of my Christmas list. My younger brother and I also wanted a Wii, but I really wanted a DSi. I asked everyone to get it for me: my parents, my aunt, and my grandparents. My mom kept telling me I was too young to play video games. I felt really, really sad because all my friends had a DSi. I even asked for certain games, hoping that I would get this toy! My mom and dad said they wouldn't get it but they surprised me. I got a DSi....and I didn't even shoot my eye out!
