Please join the internationally-recognized Shakespeare Authorship Research Center for a two-day seminar focusing on Roland Emmerich's newest film, Anonymous, and the opportunities this film offers for study and teaching the Shakespeare Authorship Question in high schools, colleges, universities, and various other forums. Portland Center Stage welcomes the SARC to the Gerding Theater at the Armory in support of our upcoming world premiere adaptation of Shakespeare's Amazing Cymbeline, running February 3 through April 8, 2012.

Registration for the two-day seminar is $100. The hours for the event on Saturday are 9 a.m.  -5 p.m., and on Sunday 9 a.m. - noon. All teachers and students qualify for a 10% registration discount if registered by December 31. Teachers who enroll more than 10 students to attend the colloquium may attend free of charge.

The SARC and PCS wish to thank Jasson Geffen and Sony Pictures for their extension of the pre-commercial release of Anonymous for use by the colloquium.

Colloquium registrants are encouraged to mention the code word COMMUNITY for $5 off tickets to Shakespeare's Amazing Cymbeline.

For a rousing, well-documented essay on who Shakespeare really was, read “The Masque of William Shakespeare.” It has espionage, intrigue, and murder… on Kindle http://ow.ly/7jiVn and All other readers at http://ow.ly/7k9mC

Come to the colloquium at the Gerding Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29 - register online - and become part of a team to study Roland Emmerich’s sensational new film, Anonymous, on the Shakespeare Authorship Question. The colloquium will proceed with an eye toward finding various means by which, with the aid of Emmerich’s film, the question of the origins of the Shakespeare texts might be productively and excitingly explored in classrooms and informal educational forums.  A weekend of fun and learning beckons!
