Did you know that philanthropy means “love of humankind”?
Help us recognize the people that give to our community. November 15th is National Philanthropy Day. This day is set aside for all of us to recognize the great contributions philanthropy and those involved with giving have made on our communities and lives. I want to take a moment and say thanks to all of the people, businesses and foundations who have made philanthropic gifts to theater. Theater has an important impact on our community and in creating dialogue within it. Philanthropy creates programs that benefit all of us. It connects people to causes and to eachother.
You may not know that ticket sales only cover 49% of what it takes for us to operate. We really couldn’t put on the productions you see or have the education and community outreach programs without our donors. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!
Take a moment on November 15th (or any day) and thank someone you know who gives philanthropically to our community. We appreciate you!
