Meet Mr. Mud Man. This ghoul is the creation of Jeff and Chris Davis, the masterminds behind The Davis Graveyard. The Davis Graveyard is a yearly large scale Halloween spectacle in Milwaukee, OR that has received national and international attention. As fans of our programs for High School students, Jeff and Chris are hosting a fundraiser in their Graveyard to support the Promising Playwrights program at our yearly JAW festival. Promising Playwrights are four local High School students who are chosen to spend ten days in July workshopping new scripts with professional Actors and Directors. In addition to their plays being workshopped, the students are able to observe, be mentored by, and work alongside adult playwrights, directors, dramaturgs, actors, designers and other top artists from all over the country, who are working on their own JAW projects.

The fundraiser takes place on Friday, October 17th, 2008 at 6:00pm. Space is limited and 100% of the proceeds benefit the Promising Plawrights program. In addition to the fundraiser on October 17th, Mr. Mud Man pictured above will be located in the lobby of the Gerding Theater, and be raffled off. Raffle tickets are only available at the PCS box office.
