As a ten-year-old science nerd in 1969 I loved the Apollo program and everything it made possible for the future. But one year later the country and world starting screaming for the funds to be devoted to solve social problems like hunger, disease, and ignorance. Our future in space was castrated but the social problems remain. That is the tragedy that Keystone or somebody should be writing about.

I'm sad to see PCS stage "APOLLO". It is yet another swipe at a program that again and again and again has gotten beaten into the ground, and all the wonderful hopes for the future squashed.

Being a student of politics and history, I am especially psyched to see both Frost/Nixon and Grey Gardens -oh the intrigue, the drama, the scandals - the merriment of it all right in Portland on the PCS mainstage!

After writing grant requests for Apollo for the past four years, I'm thrilled the project (at last!) will make it to the PCS stage. Promises to be very cool, and should provoke lots of discussion!

I'm also really looking forward to Frost/Nixon.

Just a BTW, little typo on the Wilde play title (it's Earnest)
