After a hiatus for the Summer, our wonderful costume shop crew is finally back on the job. Barbara Casement, our Costume Crafts Expert is getting her cubbyhole set up to attack the numerous shoes, feather boas and gold coin-ed g-strings designed for the Cabaret dancers.
Meanwhile, Paula takes the research on period underwear and begins to create patterns out of brown paper.
And then Pam takes the patten and begins cutting it out of muslin for the first draft of the garment.
Here’s a shot of the shoe storage area in the shop. Can come in handy if you happen to forget yours on the way to work one day.
And in case you wondered who Jeff Cone (our resident costumer) was: here is his pic.
That’s how’d you look, too, if you had just realized you have to create 82 separate garments for Cabaret!
