I was working on Bucky's last public appearances - Integrity Days - in 1983 when he passed on. Following that event, I produced seminars and workshops using archival material from the Buckminster Fuller Institute. He has been with me ever since. In 1988 my book "Buckminster Fuller's Universe" (Basic Books) was published to provide people with easier access to Bucky and his enormous wisdom. I continue to follow the principles he taught and to share them as well as his wisdom whenever invited. lsieden@comcast.net

In 1978 I sent Bucky one of my first recordings and he wrote back saying that people were just then learning how to hear this kind of music. Then in 1984ish I was on tour in Alaska and he was to give a lecture in the same hall where my concert was to be held. The promoters asked if they could use my sound system, I agreed with the stipulation that I run the board. So I had his lecture in my ears that day for 3 hours. After it was over Bucky invited me to breakfast the following morning. We talked and ate for 3 hours that day and I was forever changed. Today I live in Long Beach WA where I have a Sustainable Living Center and a Geodesic Dome greenhouse. Thanks you for doing this presentation, I was so inspired!!!!!! Blessings, Larkin

I've thoroughly enjoyed being with Bucky on several occasions ... also his grandson Jaime. I will ever be grateful (this Thanksgiving Day) to my senior high school English teacher who introduced me to Buckys many books. Within a year, I had read most of them and sailed with Bucky and "co-conspirator" Werner Erhard on San Francisco Bay. I fondly recall watching Bucky as he noted the graceful parabolic shape of the Golden Gate Bridge cables.. as well as their admirable well-ordered tensional strength. Attending many of his lectures and workshops in California including a weekend at Asilomar on the beach ... have given me a far reaching appreciation for his work extending deep into my psyche to this day. I saw the "History and Mystery" play at least seven times a few years ago in San Francisco and have begun my own work developing a curriculum updating his influence in the world. I also built several models with Jaime as part of a series of workshops loosely related to Synergy and other concepts fostered by Bucky. As we all progress toward realizing Buckys vision of sustainability on our planet, it would be fun to have a "Synergetic reunion" of sorts... anyone interested?

Aloha,

I lived in his grandson's house on Mt. Shasta for two years. It was said to ahve a "violet flame" in the middle of the house. It was also aligned with Mt. Shasta and Castle Cragg. We had rockin' parties, amazing dreams, out-of-this-world conversations and collectively we once saw a UFO. The meditations on the property weren't half bad either. We appreciate having had the experience of living there. MAHALO!

I heard him speak at a small community college on the S.Coast of Oregon in 1970. I was 16. I wouldn't have gone to listen to some guy named "Richard Fuller". Impressed with his horn-rimmed glasses and domes, thinking he was a true geek, I was more amazed that he thought coming to a logging community was worth his time and energy. I sat on the hardwood floor of the basketball court.

Today I give a PowerPoint presentation about a project I'm working on. The last slide contains a quote, my favorite quote from Buckminster Fuller, 1970, "The Things to do are: the things that need doing, that you see need to be done, and that no one else seems to see need to be done." It's a difficult quote. I ask people to read it aloud with me. It gives me chills to feel the strength he has given us all.
