But it's a relatively small pool. We always start here in Portland, and cast about half of our shows from the local talent pool. We also invite specific actors from Seattle down for individual shows. The largest, most diverse and highest quality talent pool for actors interested in working on the stage is in NY. Thus we have more luck getting folks to travel from NY to Portland, than we do from LA to Portland (they are too focused on TV work in LA). I assume he (and Jane Jones) already had everything paired down to the finalists by the time you got out there, how much input did you have? Was that where things got "tricky"?
