“Here comes Company!” A production of Stephen Sondheim’s groundbreaking musical Company presented by JANE a theater company and BrunDog Productions opens September 24 with a special fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank. Company follows the odyssey of Bobby, a turning-35-year-old bachelor who has been unable – or more to the point, unwilling – to walk down the aisle. A series of vignettes follows Bobby’s favorite couples, and his relationship with his three current squeezes. Each interaction, in its quirky and hilarious fashion, increasingly inspires Bobby to tie the knot before it’s too late. As one of musical theater’s most noted composers/lyricists, Sondheim’s work is featured in musicals including Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Sunday in the Park with George and A Little Night Music.
