The Home Builder’s Association of Portland has announced that this year’s Street of Dreams show will, for the first time in its thirty-four year history, showcase some of the finest luxury condos in Portland’s Pearl District.
The kick off benefit celebration, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is set for July 30, 2009, at the Gerding Theater at the Armory; proceeds benefit Portland Center Stage, the John L. Scott Foundation, and the Home Builders Foundation.
The Midsummer Night’s Dream is the black -tie preview and gala event prior to the public opening of the annual NW Natural Street of Dreams. This charity benefit will be the first opportunity to see the luxury condos all the while enjoying delicious food from local restaurants, great beer from local breweries and fabulous wine from local wineries.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream will take place on July 30th from 6:00-11:00. Your evening will begin at Portland Center Stage where you will receive your wristband which provides you access to the participating condo buildings, along with a map that marks the location of each building and highlights the great food and beverages you will find at each location.
Many of the condos are within walking distance and for those you who prefer to hitch a ride, pedi-cabs as well as limo shuttles will be available to transport you from building to building throughout the evening.
If you prefer to spend your evening enjoying the great food and company but would like to see the show’s featured condos at a later date, no problem. Just return to the Portland Center Stage and trade in your ticket stub for a Pearl Pass which will allow you to return during regular show hours. In addition to being your NW Natural Street of Dreams ticket the Pearl Pass also provides you discounts at local participating Pearl District businesses.
