2013 Year in Review

Because it is the last day of the year and probably because more than a little bit of nostalgia has taken ahold of us, it seems like a little trip down the memory lane is just what the doctor ordered. And perhaps because we operate on an academic year, simply focusing on one calendar year is a bit of a rarity for us - exciting, really.

So here it is. Our year in (quick) review.

Somewhere In Time

Andrew Samonsky and Hannah Elless in the new musical

May 28 — June 30

Andrew Samonsky and Hannah Elless in the world premiere musical Somewhere in Time, based on the novel and Universal Pictures film written by Richard Matheson. Book by Ken Davenport, music by Doug Katsaros, Lyrics by Amanda Yesnowitz and directed by Scott Schwartz.

 

 

JAW: A Playwrights Festival

Fiddler on the Roof based on Sholem Aleichem stories by special permission of Arnold Perl. Book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. Directed by Chris Coleman.

Twist Your Dickens

November 16 - December 22

The Second City's A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens by Peter Guinn and Bobby Mort. Directed by Matt Hovde. Pictured above Craig Cackowski (Scrooge) and Nicholas Kessler (Ghost of Christmas Future).

 

 

The Santaland Diaries

November 24 - December 29

The Santaland Diaries by David Sedaris, adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello. Directed by Wendy Knox. Starring Darius Pierce as Crumpet.
