Donor Event: Backstage Tour and Wine Reception

Posted by Russell Ihara | 05 November 2013

Cold weather and a little rain could not deter PCS supporters from gaining an inside peek behind the curtains of the Gerding Theater at the Armory. Patron Level donors received a warm welcome from Director of Development, Charlie Frasier, followed by a guided tour led by Education & Community Programs Director, Kelsey Tyler, and Education & Community Programs Coordinator, Sarah Mitchell.

Weaving through the labyrinth of hallways, attendees made their way through the costume shop, rehearsal spaces and green rooms, giving them an exclusive look into the many facets involved with every production. Along the way, our members saw the set deconstruction for Fiddler on the Roof and the crafting of props for the upcoming production of Twist Your Dickens. Visitors also learned more about the history of the Armory and its platinum rated status as a LEED certified performing arts center.

The tour concluded with a wine reception featuring beverages provided by Argyle Wine and a raffle for fun prizes including our book Voices of the Armory, a PCS coffee mug and two tickets to a future show.
