Portland Center Stage and the Urban League of Portland Young Professionals present a series of 20-30 minute post-show discussions following select Sunday matinee performance of Dreamgirls

All post-show discussions will occur at approximately 4:30 p.m. Public are welcome, but attending Dreamgirls is strongly encouraged.

 

 

 

October 12 - History & Music in Portland and the Dream for Tomorrow: How the music moved us, the spirit and soul of Portland, and the relationship to gentrification and leadership. With guest moderators Dr W.G. Hardy, Pastor, Highland Christian Center; Noni Causey, Founder of B.E.A.M. Educational Center and Cat Goughenour

October 19 - The Imbalance of Power & The Sad Songs of Community Violence: A look at the dynamics of power & violence in relationships. Speakers to be determined.

November 2 - Shout Your Dreams – No Longer Silenced:  From the background to the foreground sing your story: The healing power of storytelling through words, art, and song. With guest moderators  Saeeda Wright, back-up singer for Liv Warfield and  Shalanda Sims, Local actor/playwright/educator and Dreamgirls cast member.

 

Dreamgirls runs now through Nov. 2
