Courtenay Hameister is the head writer and co-producer of Live Wire, Portland’s own nationally-syndicated radio variety show airing on over 65 stations around the country. She is also a screenwriter, a playwright and a columnist whose projects include cowriting the web series The Benefits of Gusbandry, the satirical stage adaptations Roadhouse: The Play! and Lost Boys: Live!, and the "Reluctant Adventurer" column for GoLocalPDX. Her work can be found in McSweeney’s, Oregon Humanities Magazine, The Portland Mercury and some scathing emails to the customer service department at Macy’s.

The Gerding Theater at the Armory has existed as a civic and cultural hub in Portland for generations. As part of our commitment to that legacy, PCS invites talent from across the city’s creative landscape to host custom-curated events each week inside our historic home. These social hours will provide a fun setting in which to meet creative personalities and exchange perspectives.
