Acting for Adults Level V: Actor Showcase

Event Details
April 12 – June 7, 2026
The Armory: Vigeland Rehearsal Hall

Join Tyler Andrew Jones (Tick, Tick, Boom; A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Hair; Twelfth Night) and Nicole Marie Green (Curious Incident of the Dog in the NighttimeA Midsummer Night’s DreamTwelfth Night) for the pinnacle of our acting series, an 8-week intensive culminating in a staged Actor Showcase. This final course invites participants to share their artistry with an audience of friends and family, presenting scenes and monologues that reflect the techniques, skills, and personal growth  developed over the previous levels.

This showcase is not just a performance; it is a celebration of each actor’s journey  and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and exploration undertaken throughout the series. By crafting a fully realized performance, participants will explore:

  • Connection to an Audience: Learn the art of engaging and captivating an  audience, translating technique into an emotional connection that resonates  beyond the stage.
  • Performance Composition: Craft scenes and monologues with an emphasis on structure, pacing, and storytelling, showcasing not only your technical skills but  your unique creative voice.
  • Refining Technique: Polish the foundational skills acquired in Levels 1 through 4, including character development, subtextual analysis, physicality, and emotional depth, ensuring a dynamic and memorable performance.
  • Collaboration and Ensemble Work: Work closely with your fellow actors, building scenes that reflect the collaborative nature of theater, while also celebrating your individual achievements as a performer.

The Actor Showcase is designed to give participants a professional-level performance  experience while providing a safe and supportive environment in which to take risks and make bold, creative choices. It’s the final step in building confidence, ownership of your craft, and the ability to perform with freedom and authenticity.

Friends, family, and the wider community are invited to witness the transformation  and skill of these artists as they take the stage to demonstrate the culmination of their hard work. This course is the perfect opportunity for artists to test their growth, showcase their talent, and celebrate the joy of performance.
