Hip Hop Dance Class with Redwood Cast Member Orion Bradshaw
Looking to move your body around on a Saturday afternoon? Want to build a piece of Hip-Hop dance choreography like the ensemble cast members of Redwood? Throw yourself into the movement mix with Redwood actor Orion Bradshaw (portraying Tatum) and learn movement technique and a sequence of dance steps from the play! Learn the steps, while also learning some tricks to make them your own! And while you’re at it, ask questions about the play-building process as well!
Absolutely all levels are welcome.
Orion is an actor/educator and a proud member of both Actors’ Equity and the National Education Association. He believes that enthusiastic expression through physical movement and dance, and even acknowledging one’s appreciation for body movement as storytelling, leads us one step closer to personal freedom. He has been dancing and practicing Hip-hop since 2003, and he received extensive theatrical movement and musical theater dance training during his undergraduate years at Southern Oregon University. He has filled the role of Dance Captain for numerous shows throughout the Pacific Northwest, and was also the resident co-choreographer and performance coach for the Maverick Mainstage youth theater in Portland for three seasons. This past year, he was a teaching assistant for several high school dance/movement classes at Crater Renaissance Academy and Ashland High School. This workshop is designed to accommodate all proficiency levels, and Orion sincerely hopes you’ll come join in the dance beat!
