JAW PRESS PLAY: Featuring the Pablo Rivarola combo
This combo was a big hit for our First Thursday celebrations in July, and now they are back playing music before the 4pm JAW reading.
Pablo (trumpet player, composer, pianist, and bandleader) will be blending influences from classic jazz, classical music, r&b, and modern pop for this performance. You won't want to miss it.

Seattle-born trumpet player, composer, pianist and bandleader, Pablo Rivarola has been playing music for as long as he can remember. Arriving in Portland in 2018, Pablo quickly made a name for himself as one of Portland's premier musicians to hear. With a combination of blinding ability on his horn and a warm, sensitive sound Pablo's playing has caught the attention of Portland's jazz and neo-soul heavyweights.
His compositions range from somber, thoughtful melodies with rich harmony, to burning swing, to infectious grooves. Whether he's playing trumpet and piano at the same time, or taking an acrobatic solo, Pablo always brings a unique sound that you don't want to miss. Currently, he is gearing up to release his debut record featuring a carefully curated selection of his best compositions.
