Based on the outlandish, and true, chronicles of David Sedaris’ experience as Crumpet the Elf in Macy’s Santaland display, this hilarious cult classic features comic encounters during the height of the holiday crunch. NPR humorist and best-selling author of When You Are Engulfed in Flames, Me Talk Pretty One Day and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, David Sedaris has become one of America’s pre-eminent humor writers. PCS brings a holiday favorite back to Portland as a special Studio Theater presentation.

The Santaland Diaries runs for approximately 70 minutes with no intermission.

I’m excited about this production! However, am I just completely inept or do you guys hide your student discounted tickets?

If you don’t have any, you should! I’d love to be able to come see Santaland. It was a great book and I’m sure this will be very charming and funny.

Jennifer,

The student prices come up for you after you start the process of purchasing a ticket. Which, I agree, is perhaps a tad late in the process. We’ll work on that with the next site upgrade (coming soon!)

Meanwhile, yes, we offer a student rate of 18.50 for Sunday through Thursday performances. If you order online you’ll want to remember to bring your student id to the box office when you pick up your tickets.

Hello – I am delighted that Santaland Diaries is selling so well. Is it possible to write “sold out” next to the dates so that we don’t have to keep choosing dates only to find that no tickets are available? I just clicked on 6 options and they were all sold out. Thanks!

Depends on the 15 year old (and the 15 year old’s parents). There is language, and some implied sexual content (not depicted on stage).
