Portland Center Stage at The Armory is committed to grappling with that discomfort, on and off the stage, and we invite members of our community to participate in that growth process with us. November First Thursday will feature live music curated by all-ages, youth-centered, non-profit Friends of Noise, along with the ongoing painting exhibit and art installation Hard Feelings by visual artist Angela Saenz. This an all ages event, so there will also be complimentary non-alcoholic beverages provided during the show.

Gallery Exhibit: Hard Feelings by Angela Saenz

Portland Center Stage will host Hard Feelings, an art installation by Portland-based painter and mural artist Angela Saenz that draws upon the artist’s response to grief, intimacy, and community in the times of CoronaVirus. The exhibit opens on October 7, 2021, and will be on view daily through November 15, 2021.

Urban Jazz dance technique is a fusion of: Jazz, Hip-hop, Horton*, Graham, Ballet, and Voguing. Originated in Chicago Illinois by Mr. Joel Hall, owner of the Joel Hall Dancers and Center. Urban Jazz focuses on isolations, rhythm, and soul, fused with the lively energy of the Chicago streets. All levels are welcome! (One of four sessions.)
