Aléa Lorén aka Church Girl

Aléa Lorén aka Church Girl

(She/Her)

Aléa Lorén Johnson debuted her first solo in church at age 2. She was always moved and inspired by the soul, sound, spirit, and vibration she’d experienced growing up in church — hence the name “Church Girl.” Angela Braxton Johnson, Aléa’s mother, composed and directed stage plays at church, in which Aléa had the privilege to perform. She can act, sing, and play the clarinet. Aléa performed in the chorus for Show Boat with Portland Opera, went on tour with professional gospel group Kingdom Sound, and sang in front of many gospel grates at the Stellar Awards. She sang background vocals for Johnathan Nelson, Lillian Lloyd, Josh Groban, and opened up for groups like Kiss, just to name a few. Aléa believes her purpose is to serve and impact people with love and light by sharing the many gifts she’s had the privilege to cultivate over the years. She plans to do that by continuing to perform and cultivating other artists by helping them to pursue their dreams.

Aléa is a member of Actors' Equity Association.
