View Upcoming EventsPortland Center Stage will host Dream Girl Power, an art installation by Portland-based painter and visual artist Sa'rah Melinda Sabino that draws upon the intersections of Moroccan and Muslim identities and her passion for the sport of basketball. The exhibit is on display to view daily now through February 1, 2023.
There will be an artist reception and gallery celebration on Saturday, January 21, from 3:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m., as part of pre-show events in advance of the evening show of Artists Repertory Theatre's American Fast, directed by Chip Miller.
Born and raised in Boston, Sa’rah Sabino’s journey to Portland came from her love of shoes. Her first visit to Portland was in 2010 when she became a student in the 2nd inaugural Pensole class. After receiving a B.F.A in painting industrial design, Sabino went on to work for Converse for almost three years. In 2016, she moved back to Portland after securing a role as a footwear designer at Adidas, where she currently works.
