Hear Our Voice: A Stage Reading and Panel Discussion
Join Advance Gender Equity in the Arts (AGE) as they present Hear Our Voice: A Staged Reading and Panel Discussion in celebration of the AGE Women Of Color (WOC) in PDX Theatre Collective Mentorship Program.
This reading will feature four new works by emerging PDX playwrights of color:
- "Girl in the Leather Jacket" By Nicky Nicholson-Klingerman. Directed by Yasmin Ruvalcaba.
- "Tears, Tequila, and Truth" by Marissa Sanchez. Directed by Cambria Herrera.
- "Lunch Room" by Lisa Collins. Directed by Jennifer Lanier.
- "Held by My Sea" by Cambria Herrera. Directed by Yasmin Ruvalcaba.
Advance Gender Equity in the Arts (AGE) is a social justice movement founded in 2014 by actor and activist Jane Vogel, to advance intersectional gender equity in the arts.
Equity for AGE means creating environments where all people can achieve their full potential. Equity can only be achieved when women of color, older women, trans women, queer women, women with disabilities, all women are empowered and are fully engaged in leadership positions. AGE is committed to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in the arts through grants, advocacy, community outreach, and activism.
