Ty Chiko
Dr. Ty Chiko is celebrated as one of the Bahamas’ Top 40 Under 40 and is known as one of the premier voices of his home country. He received a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University in August of 2023. Ty is the founder of a new and exciting company, Every Body Has a Song, which utilizes singing to help build community and inspire sense of belonging. He is the winner of multiple awards and has made appearances on NPR and other notable podcasts and radio shows. Ty currently serves as the Executive Assistant at Portland Opera and is thrilled to be making his debut with Portland Center Stage!
