Mrs. Taylor-Made
Mrs. Taylor-Made

Mia Taylor, also known as Mrs. Taylor-Made, is a Portland native raised in North and Northeast Portland. She is a proud wife and mother of 3, a well-known music lover to her friends and family and a self-proclaimed DJ!! She loves the community that has raised her and wants to make a difference. She's volunteered for community events, including The Good in the Hood festival and served on the Board of directors for the Portland Rose Festival, and is a Self- Enhancement Inc. alumnus. She's always said she was a DJ in her former life and is happy for the opportunity!

SISTAHS4LIFE
SISTAHS4LIFE

Three “Soul Sisters,” inspired by their love of line dancing, set out to create more than just steps – they built a movement. Fueled by the joy they experienced and the encouragement from others, they launched a soulful wellness program that promotes healthy living through dance.

In June 2013, they hosted their very first line dance boot camp—and the response was incredible. What began as a single event quickly grew into a weekly program. By 2014, they partnered with Home Forward of Portland to offer wellness classes at Humboldt Garden and NW Tower. Today, in 2025, Sistahs4Life has proudly expanded to include partnerships with Black Joy, Portland Parks & Recreation, Self Enhancement Inc, and Multnomah County.

Over the years, Sistahs4Life has created original dances like S4L: YerninIn LovePDX Stepping OutUptown FunkKing Shuffle, and Squabble up – routines loved by our community.

More than just dance – Sistahs4Life is a commitment to joyful movement, community wellness, and living life in motion.

Pouvwa Nwa
Pouvwa Nwa

Pouvwa Nwa, (poov-wa new-wa) a multidisciplinary artist and curator whose practice aims to examine the complexities of the human condition, identity, and spirituality. Using anatomical references and fragmented forms, they create work that invites viewers to dissect, and sit with the dysmorphic relationship between body and self that comes with our humanity. Pouvwa Nwa (Black Power: Haitian Creole) is a creative platform reflecting their multidimensional approach to art and personal liberation. Through Pouvwa Nwa, they celebrate the beauty of blackness, individuality, and cultural expression. Together, their artistic and curatorial work reflects a commitment to honoring the body, celebrating marginalized identity, and cultivating spaces where creativity and community can thrive.

Portland Center Stage is committed to identifying & interrupting instances of racism & all forms of oppression, through the principles of inclusion, diversity, equity, & accessibility (IDEA).
