Thru & Thru is an arts & culture nonprofit aiming to eliminate financial barriers & uplift communities of artists, inspiring future generations thru the power of expression.
Paulina Ramirez also known as Lapaushiis an Ecuadorian born, Portland based multidisciplinary artist and DJ. She grew up in the Andes mountains, dancing cumbia, salsa, lambada and 80s 90s hits on cassette and vinyl at family gatherings.
Her DJ sets are a genre crossing fusion of Latinx, Indigenous, Caribbean and African diasporic sounds- offering an explosive blend of rhythms and global sonic textures. She experiments with classic Latin house, latincore, jersey club, breakbeat, techno, cumbia weaving them all together with contemporary electronic sounds.
