Join us for March First Thursday featuring DJ Gila Suspectum (UwU PDX collective member and director of the Portland Two Spirit Society) and DJ Lapaushi (Noche Libre DJ collective) as they spin music that spans varied genres and geography. You won't want to miss the pop-up Indigenous marketplace curated by Palani Bearghost featuring Studio Euphorbia (Bead Work), Chenoa Landry (Accessories, Beadwork, Ribbon Skirts), Rose Alchemist (Apothecary handmade products), NEO (Clothing + Accessories) and Angela Dawn with @thekeepspacepdx and @daboothpdx. There will also be an artist talk with Qi You in the PGE gallery and Jingzi Zhao's photography exhibit in the Ellyn Bye Studio lobby. 

Dance to the DJ vibes, support Indigenous vendors, and check out the photography exhibit Pas de trois by Jingzi Zhao in the Ellyn Bye Studio lobby! The images celebrate motivation, artistry, and creative alchemy, taken over the last three years. In the PGE Gallery, artist Qi You will attend to talk about her exhibit, The Year of the Rabbits.

This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Guests in attendance will receive complimentary beer from Deschutes Brewery while supplies last!

About DJ Lapaushi
About DJ Lapaushi

Inés Paulina Ramírez — aka Lapaushi — was born in Ecuador. She is a visual artist and DJ, currently part of Noche Libre Latinx DJ Collective in Portland, Oregon. She mixes urban rhythms, including the new Latin wave of feminist hip-hop, reggaeton, dembow, electrocumbia, tropical bass, sonidero, and chicha psicodélica.

Her selections come from years of traveling, collecting, and sharing music from various regions of Latin America, exploring and honoring Indigenous memory and African roots.

About DJ Gila Suspectum

Jack Malstrom (Gila Suspectum) is from Portland, Oregon, and is the current director of the Portland Two Spirit Society, a Native adoptee, and a Two Spirit advocate. They are also a part of UwU PDX, a Queer and trans DJ collective in Portland as well as a drag cryptid performer.
