It’s springtime and you know what that means … auditions! Monologues play a crucial role in the audition process and yet can be overwhelming to create … but you don’t have to do it alone! In this masterclass, we’ll focus on reconnecting with your audition monologues by authentically examining the text in order to broaden your interpretation and build an electric audition.

Participants will be randomly selected to perform their monologue for the class and not only receive personal feedback but will also be coached on how to craft their monologue from beginning to end right there on the spot. Whether it’s comedic or dramatic, Shakespeare or contemporary, participants should be prepared with either their current audition materials or something new they’ve always wanted to work on.

This masterclass will meet your monologues wherever they are and invigorate them into pieces that will take audition season by storm!

You must be 18 years or older to attend this class. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. Please email education@pcs.org with inquiries.

“Working with Tyler is one of the best decisions I have ever made for my professional acting career. Tyler is clear, concise, and helps in a way that makes me feel heard as an artist. Since working with Tyler, I have gotten callbacks for almost all of the auditions that we’ve worked on. Tyler is truly the best! It is a pleasure working with him.”

"I was lucky enough to coach with Tyler twice for auditions! With Tyler’s advisement, I found myself making discoveries which felt organic to my characters. Tyler has a real sense of getting to the heart of the moment and making sure that his mentee feels motivation for every choice. His style lends itself to seasoned actors and beginners alike. Tyler is my go-to coach!"
